Do you want to learn how to code?

Recode believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn to code, so they provide a free coding education for people who belong to under represented groups within the technology industry, and anybody who might find that finances are a barrier to their learning.

The Recode team are offering a full-time, 14 week course that could be the pathway to a new career in software engineering. Once you have completed the course, Redcode will provide you with support in finding a role in your new field.

And the best part, this course is free to all successful applicants!

If you want to have a taster, before you commit to applying you can attend one of their taster events, hosted by Bring Digital, and supported (with laptop provision and mentoring) by us at Full Circle.

The event is held once a month and is designed to introduce people to the world of coding. The lessons include the basics of HTML to get you started on your journey to a new career, or just learning a new skill.

At Full Circle we believe it is important that everybody gets a shot at the career they want, the community aspect of the Recode events really appeals to us, and who knows, we could be meeting a future member of the Full Circle family whilst helping to mentor. We like the idea of nurturing the future talent of Bolton, whilst contributing to the employment in the town too.

That might sound pretty cheesy but that leads me to the next bit. FREE PIZZA! Oh yes. Before we begin coding at the taster sessions we fill our faces on pizza, provided by Bring Digital. Isn’t that nice of them?
